Drumming it in

Dum-dum-dum-dum-dum!

Something tribal in that sound.

Stir's my bone seed.

Whether it's the cheerleaders at the school athletics meet, a hippy at a fair, or the hype at a world cup match, the sound of a beating drum calls to something deep inside us. All of us.

This melodic but monotonous thump sends out a vibration, a pulse, an energy.

Medical science is familiar with the benefits of such frequencies as ultra sound and sounds from nature or Gregorian chants that greatly reduce stress, anxiety and promote preventative healing. All of these soothing sounds presents the 432GHz which is the sound that resonates natural rhythms and energies back into alignment. We are only now rediscovering the overlooked therapy of drumming.

We have also become aware of the use of the 440GHz frequency which is used in rock, metal, rap and pop music as well as advertising and television show themes designed to make us restless and consumer driven.*

This leads to all sorts of unhealthy lifestyle choices which manifest in addictions, obesity, and poverty, to name but a few.

All preventative therapies recommend balancing our unavoidably busy lifestyles with quiet time, short periods of isolation and calming sounds or silence.

Drum circles have become a popular feature in the holistic arena but the intense vibration of a shaman's drum beside your ear for a good half an hour or more vibrates you to the core.
